The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Nicolae Fânaru scored 0-1 in the 3rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Eusebiu Molodețiu, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. If Manole Răuțu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 7th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Eusebiu Molodețiu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Octavian Bălan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Codruț Lera fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eusebiu Molodețiu having to interfere. After some careless play in the Mosoarele UFC defense, Toader Mititelu kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Eusebiu Molodețiu. The Mosoarele UFC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Eusebiu Molodețiu should have stopped the shot. If Codruț Lera had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 32nd minute, Mădălin Ghițescu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Aurel Cazimir showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eusebiu Răuţă in the 35th minute of the match. In the 48th minute Octavian Bălan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eusebiu Molodețiu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.

The wind increased when Eusebiu Răuţă made the kick off in the second half. After having played for 54 minutes, Eusebiu Răuţă managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mosoarele UFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Eusebiu Răuţă was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Toader Mititelu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Toader Mititelu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eusebiu Molodețiu having to interfere. Eusebiu Răuţă blasted a shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Aurel Cazimir having to make a save. The supporters of Mosoarele UFC booed when FC Marina Constanta was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 69 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marcel Homescu didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Manole Răuțu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mosoarele UFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FC Marina Constanta the free kick. In the 85th match minute, Mosoarele UFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ovidiu Ţirpe to maneuver through the defense. Eusebiu Răuţă kicked well hit freekick during the 87th minute of the match. Codruț Lera blasted a shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Eusebiu Molodețiu having to make a save. Vali Avramescu struck a weak shot in the 93rd minute. Eusebiu Molodețiu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC Marina Constanta. FC Marina Constanta's Aurel Cazimir played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Manole Răuțu in the 95th minute of play. Manole Răuțu took the ball and in the 95 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Aurel Cazimir. Aurel Cazimir dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-3. The Mosoarele UFC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. FC Marina Constanta were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
