Berca FCM's Dragoş Marica proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 9th minute of the match, managed to save Berca FCM from getting a goal against them. 20 minutes into the game, Ştefan Zgaroi was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FC Bucuresti's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Berca FCM the free kick. A collision led to FC Bucuresti getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Ştefan Zgaroi hit a great ball. Adrian Ispir showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dorel Bărnuțiu in the 24th minute of the match. Dorel Bărnuțiu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Dorel Bărnuțiu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Adrian Ispir showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Radu Doicaru, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. After a defensive mix-up in FC Bucuresti's zone, Dorel Bărnuțiu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Adrian Ispir came out of the goal and Dorel Bărnuțiu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Radu Doicaru fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Adrian Ispir having to interfere. Dorel Bărnuțiu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the match clock showed 41 minutes, the score became 1-1 when Dorel Bărnuțiu sped through FC Bucuresti's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Adrian Ispir. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Eugen Romanescu to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 58th minute, Romeo Homescu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, FC Bucuresti's Ştefan Zgaroi got a free kick in the 64th minute. An unexpected shot in the 78th minute by Radu Doicaru got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Dorel Bărnuțiu in the 78th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Adrian Ispir prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Dorel Bărnuțiu came up free with the goalie in the 80th minute, the Berca FCM fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dorel Bărnuțiu couldn't finish the play. With splendid footwork Dorel Bărnuțiu arrived in front of goal to shoot 1-3 by the left pole in the game's 84th minute. Radu Doicaru received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Adrian Ispir tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some careless play in the FC Bucuresti defense, Radu Doicaru kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Adrian Ispir. The FC Bucuresti fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Adrian Ispir should have stopped the shot. The audience thought a goal was coming when Radu Doicaru got free with Adrian Ispir in the 97th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When the final whistle sounded Berca FCM left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than FC Bucuresti.
