SCORPIONII's Sergiu Botgros got a good chance for a goal in the 33rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Liviu Zbârlea's late challenge caught a Dragusenii's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Liviu Zbârlea helped the player get up and apologised. 47 minutes into the game, Cosmin Spiridon was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Dragusenii's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave SCORPIONII the free kick. Liviu Zbârlea could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 48th minute of the match, but Corneliu Cigu made a huge save. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.
Dragusenii were awarded a corner in the 54th minute after SCORPIONII's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Octav Liciu took the corner. Octav Liciu made a great header on Dragusenii's corner, it was just that SCORPIONII's Dorel Poenaru managed to reach the ball for a save. Dragusenii's Denis Roşu got a good chance for a goal in the 58th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lucian Cerghizan in the 61st minute of play forced Dragusenii's goalkeeper Corneliu Cigu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Corneliu Cigu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lucian Cerghizan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The crowd rose to their feet as Silviu Oniga kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Dorel Poenaru. That made the score 1-2 in the 84 minute of play. Lucian Cerghizan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 90th minute, Lucian Cerghizan got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Lucian Cerghizan came up free with the goalie in the 95th minute, the SCORPIONII fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Lucian Cerghizan couldn't finish the play. The Dragusenii players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
