An unexpectedly hard shot by Doru Dima in the 10th minute of play forced FC Malina's goalkeeper Costel Arseanu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Constantin Turcu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Horaţiu Brezoi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Petrică Dascălu was left in no man's land by his defense there! The audience was convinced that Marius Greblă's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Costel Arseanu was relentless in the 33rd minute of the game. Marius Greblă fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Costel Arseanu having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Marius Greblă in the 47th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Costel Arseanu prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Marius Greblă sent away a hard shot on goal in the 49th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Marius Greblă to make the kick off. The supporters of FC Malina booed when CS Universitatea Craiova was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Constantin Turcu didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Constantin Turcu got free with Costel Arseanu in the 85th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When Doru Dima was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 87 minutes had been played. Constantin Turcu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Costel Arseanu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Marius Greblă had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. FC Malina had won after a very even match.
