Petrică Dascălu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Grigore Răcănel, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 34 minutes into the match, CS Universitatea Craiova's goal looked a bit too open when Grigore Răcănel came free, but Petrică Dascălu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 36 minutes into the match, Vali Boștină notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of CS Universitatea Craiova's Petrică Dascălu. Petrică Dascălu was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After a defensive mix-up in CS Universitatea Craiova's zone, Vali Boștină stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Petrică Dascălu came out of the goal and Vali Boștină tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Vali Boștină made a kick off. Vali Boștină struck a weak shot in the 54th minute. Petrică Dascălu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Julfeni CSM. The supporters of CS Universitatea Craiova booed when Julfeni CSM was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vali Amitroaiei didn't get a good kick on the ball. This resulted in a 1-3 score and a disappointed Petrică Dascălu as he didn't even see the shot coming. Grigore Răcănel recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 80th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Vali Boștină in the 81st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Petrică Dascălu prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Petrică Dascălu was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Vali Boștină showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-4 in the 88 minute of play. If Constantin Turcu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of CS Universitatea Craiova booed when Julfeni CSM was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sandu Marica didn't get a good kick on the ball.
