In the 4th minute Ionuț Almajan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cezar Bogatu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Călin Dănescu came up free with the goalie in the 5th minute, the Vaidasig fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Călin Dănescu couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ionuț Almajan in the 10th minute of play forced Chelsea FC's goalkeeper Cezar Bogatu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Vasile Uncescu charged in rather forcefully in the 10th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Vasile Uncescu the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 10th match minute, Chelsea FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vasile Uncescu to maneuver through the defense. After 12 played minutes Chelsea FC got a freekick which was hit by Vasile Uncescu. After a defensive mix-up in Chelsea FC's zone, Călin Dănescu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cezar Bogatu came out of the goal and Călin Dănescu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Chelsea FC's Vasile Uncescu in the 16th minute got a chance for a shot 16th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Vaidasig's goalie prevented a goal. Gheorghe Zbagan kicked well hit freekick during the 24th minute of the match. Pavel Turlea took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Valentin Turcescu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 27th minute, Călin Dănescu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Vaidasig getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Nicu Vărzaru hit a great ball. Leonard Corbea took the ball and in the 35 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Cezar Bogatu. Cezar Bogatu dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vasile Zamfira in the 39th minute of play forced Chelsea FC's goalkeeper Cezar Bogatu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the match had gone on for 40 minutes, Leonard Corbea put it in 0-2 from a short distance just to the right of Cezar Bogatu. Cezar Bogatu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vasile Zamfira in the 46th minute of the match. In the 47th minute the ball was on its way in behind Chelsea FC's goalkeeper Cezar Bogatu, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 48th minute of the match Vaidasig got a corner. Chelsea FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Leonard Corbea ran over to the corner to take the kick. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Valentin Turcescu was the one to do the kick off. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Liviu Herea during the 52nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Vaidasig getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Liviu Herea hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cătălin Zegreanu in the 53rd minute of play forced Vaidasig's goalkeeper Pavel Turlea to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Pavel Turlea made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cătălin Zegreanu in the 60th minute of play. In the 62nd minute, Vasile Uncescu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of Chelsea FC booed when Vaidasig was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Călin Dănescu didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 71 played minutes, Chelsea FC's Emanuel Firoiu shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Pavel Turlea came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Chelsea FC reached it. The audience thought a goal was coming when Vasile Zamfira got free with Cezar Bogatu in the 73rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When Nicodim Lăzăroiu came up free with the goalie in the 78th minute, the Vaidasig fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nicodim Lăzăroiu couldn't finish the play. Vasile Zamfira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Cezar Bogatu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cezar Bogatu made a fantastic save in the 86th minute, when Vasile Zamfira sent off a good shot on target. 88 minutes into the game, Chelsea FC's Cătălin Zegreanu nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Pavel Turlea made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-4. Cezar Bogatu was out of position in the 91 minute of play, and Vasile Zamfira capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Vasile Zamfira really showed his touch with that goal: 1-5. In the 94th minute, Călin Dănescu fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. After 95 played minutes Chelsea FC got a freekick which was hit by Costică Mantu. When the match was over Vaidasig could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Chelsea FC throughout the match.
