Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Petre Răduța started the match with the kick off. Costică Cînu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 3rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 7th minute, Costică Cînu ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Iurie Daimacă was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. A collision led to Sigau getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Laurențiu Mălin hit a great ball. A collision led to Ciobanul CSM getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Cristinel Arapașu hit a great ball. A sloppy throw-in by Nichifor Covaliu in the 19th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Sigau's Iacob Busuioceanu. Niculae Axinte made a fantastic save in the 23rd minute, when Laurențiu Mălin sent off a good shot on target. In the 26th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ciobanul CSM's goalkeeper Niculae Axinte, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 32nd minute, Grigore Focșa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 34th minute Costică Cînu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Iurie Daimacă saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gavril Caba scored 0-2 in the 42nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Iurie Daimacă, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The Sigau players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Ciobanul CSM were winning 0-2.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Costel Neguțu was the one to do the kick off. Costel Neguțu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 57th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some careless play in the Ciobanul CSM defense, Petre Răduța kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Niculae Axinte. The Ciobanul CSM fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Niculae Axinte should have stopped the shot. 68 minutes into the game, Gavril Caba cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-3. Iurie Daimacă was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 72nd minute, Ciobanul CSM's Gavril Caba ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Iurie Daimacă. Iurie Daimacă yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-4. Dorel Cupșa kicked well hit freekick during the 84th minute of the match. Iacob Busuioceanu lost his temper 88 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. When the match had gone on for 91 minutes, Costică Cînu took a quick shot and it went in 1-5 without a chance for Iurie Daimacă to make any attempt to save it. In the 97th minute Costică Cînu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Iurie Daimacă saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Ciobanul CSM eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
