The goalkeeper, Emanuel Ignătoiu, was totally fooled by FIBREXNylon Piatra Neamt's Iurie Constantiniu, who 10 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. 13 minutes into the match, Dorin Ţugui notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of FIBREXNylon Piatra Neamt's Laurențiu Hizo. Laurențiu Hizo was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 17th match minute, Bohoghina CSM was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Răzvan Ciucă to maneuver through the defense. Emanuel Ignătoiu came out of the goal in the 18th minute to try and stop a shot by FIBREXNylon Piatra Neamt's Tudor Mușătescu. But to his dismay, Tudor Mușătescu quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. Emanuel Ignătoiu made an important save on a dangerous shot by Tudor Mușătescu in the 22nd minute. Dorin Ţugui sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Marin Dragalina fell near the penalty area in the 26th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Bohoghina CSM's protests and gave Marin Dragalina a yellow card for diving instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Tudor Mușătescu got free with Emanuel Ignătoiu in the 29th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When Remus Chiriță came up free with the goalie in the 30th minute, the Bohoghina CSM fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Remus Chiriță couldn't finish the play. After having played for 44 minutes, Remus Chiriță managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Bohoghina CSM's supporters crossed their fingers, but Remus Chiriță was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 46th match minute, FIBREXNylon Piatra Neamt was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Petrică Bogrea to maneuver through the defense. Bohoghina CSM's Vlad Oblemenco couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 47th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for FIBREXNylon Piatra Neamt. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

The wind increased when Horaţiu Voitiş made the kick off in the second half. After 52 minutes, Horaţiu Voitiş mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FIBREXNylon Piatra Neamt and the Bohoghina CSM players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 52nd match minute, FIBREXNylon Piatra Neamt was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Horaţiu Voitiş to maneuver through the defense. Horaţiu Voitiş took the ball and in the 54 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Emanuel Ignătoiu. In the 60th minute, Remus Chiriță got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 74th minute, Dorin Ţugui reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Laurențiu Hizo. The goal made the score 3-2. After a defensive mix-up in FIBREXNylon Piatra Neamt's zone, Remus Chiriță stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Laurențiu Hizo came out of the goal and Remus Chiriță tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Pavel Astafiei hit a great freekick 83 minutes into the match. Remus Chiriță fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Laurențiu Hizo having to interfere. In the 90th minute, Pavel Astafiei hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 94th minute, Dorin Ţugui got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The supporters of Bohoghina CSM booed when FIBREXNylon Piatra Neamt was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Robert Brășneanu didn't get a good kick on the ball.
