After 31 played minutes, Minzalesti's Nichifor Boșneag shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Grigore Macarie came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Minzalesti reached it. The audience thought a goal was coming when Olimpiu Constantinescu got free with Grigore Macarie in the 32nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Grigore Macarie didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 35th minute, which inside left pole to 1-1. In the 40th minute, Minzalesti's Emanuel Georgescu seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Emanuel Georgescu the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Minzalesti protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Emanuel Georgescu had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In the 42nd minute there was a penalty for International ACL. Mihnea Jdeica stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Iustin Stanomir. 1-2. In the 47th match minute, International ACL was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mugur Povară to maneuver through the defense. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ionel Cârju to make the kick off. Iustin Stanomir showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ionel Cârju, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Olimpiu Constantinescu couldn't finish the play. If Șerban Panțuru had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 74 minutes, Nichifor Boșneag mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Minzalesti and the International ACL players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 74 played minutes Minzalesti got a freekick which was hit by Nichifor Boșneag. When Olimpiu Constantinescu came up free with the goalie in the 83rd minute, the Minzalesti fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Olimpiu Constantinescu couldn't finish the play. 92 minutes into the match, Șerban Panțuru notched a goal, 1-3, to the right of Minzalesti's Iustin Stanomir. Iustin Stanomir was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 97 minutes into the game, Ionel Cârju was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. International ACL's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Minzalesti the free kick. Ionel Cârju kicked well hit freekick during the 97th minute of the match. International ACL's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
