Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Strimbulici's Nicu Nae started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 8th minute, Strimbulici's Nicu Nae ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Horia Mendrea. Horia Mendrea yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. Nicu Nae sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The crowd rose to their feet as Nicu Nae kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Horia Mendrea. That made the score 2-0 in the 15 minute of play. In the 19th match minute, Strimbulici was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gelu Ciorănescu to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 21st minute, Nicu Nae managed to get in a good position for a shot. Strimbulici's supporters rose to their feet, but Nicu Nae was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Horia Mendrea breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Florin Aanuţei might have been able to make a better finish in the 23rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Horia Mendrea. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Florin Aanuţei ran back to his position shaking his head. 28 minutes into the match, Diesel's goal looked a bit too open when Nicu Nae came free, but Horia Mendrea reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 33rd minute, Mugurel Cârnu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Horia Mendrea showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Florin Aanuţei, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. With an all-out effort, Strimbulici's Horia Mendrea threw himself towards the right post 37 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Nicu Nae, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 38th minute, Nicu Nae left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Strimbulici fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. Horia Mendrea was out of position in the 41 minute of play, and Nicu Nae capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Nicu Nae really showed his touch with that goal: 4-0. Florin Aanuţei sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Af the end of the first half the score was 4-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

After some fancy dribbling in the 61st minute, Nicu Nae managed to get in a good position for a shot. After a defensive mix-up in Diesel's zone, Florin Aanuţei stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Horia Mendrea came out of the goal and Florin Aanuţei tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Horia Mendrea showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nicu Nae, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. Octavian Amărculesei charged in rather forcefully in the 68th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Octavian Amărculesei the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Eduard Pascariu stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Robert Morozan's shot from short distance in the 69th minute. In the 71st minute Nicu Nae shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Horia Mendrea saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Nicu Nae's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Horia Mendrea read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 73rd minute of play. Horia Mendrea showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nicu Nae, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. In the 77th minute, Nicu Nae got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. It was beautiful to see Diesel's Grigore Crivoi in action when he in the 84th minute dribbled his way through a couple of opponents and the fired away a shot from almost standing still. First the ball seemed to get in, but turned out to be on the outside of the net. A great chance! Grigore Oblemenco fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Horia Mendrea having to interfere. 89 minutes into the match, Diesel's goal looked a bit too open when Nicu Nae came free, but Horia Mendrea reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The corner ended in Basarab Enigărescu almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Diesel's Horia Mendrea did a great save. Octavian Amărculesei fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Horia Mendrea having to interfere. Eduard Pascariu made a fantastic save in the 95th minute, when Mădălin Protase sent off a good shot on target. In the 96th minute, Flavius Comăneci hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. There was no doubt that Strimbulici were the better team. Strimbulici's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
