In the 36thth minute of the game Costică Postelnicescu who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FC SCULARENI's Santiago Saboya was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When Andrei Trică fell near the penalty area in the 39th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FC SCULARENI's protests and gave Andrei Trică a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, FC SCULARENI's Andrei Trică got a free kick in the 39th minute. When the match clock showed 41 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Costică Postelnicescu sped through FC SCULARENI's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Santiago Saboya.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Costică Postelnicescu was the one to do the kick off.
