Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Nechifor Aplugăriței made the kick off and thus started the match. After 2 minutes, Bogdan Sava mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Oțelul Galați and the Bancesti CSM players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 2 played minutes Oțelul Galați got a freekick which was hit by Bogdan Sava. Ciprian Mardare took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Glăvan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Daniel Glăvan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ciprian Mardare having to interfere. Ciprian Mardare made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Emanuel Nediu in the 9th minute of play. Isac Macrea kicked well hit freekick during the 10th minute of the match. When Gigi Blaj came up free with the goalie in the 12th minute, the Oțelul Galați fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gigi Blaj couldn't finish the play. In the 14th minute, Nechifor Aplugăriței fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Dumitru Şerbănescu, passed just outside the right post. Emanuel Nediu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ciprian Mardare having to interfere. In the 22nd minute Nechifor Aplugăriței shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dumitru Şerbănescu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Petru Alb hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. If Emanuel Nediu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Ciprian Mardare made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Glăvan in the 29th minute of play. If Emanuel Nediu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 36th minute, Emanuel Nediu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Emanuel Nediu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ciprian Mardare showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Emanuel Nediu in the 40th minute of the match. Cosmin Mihuț was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 41 minutes into the match. In a very dangerous position, a player in Bancesti CSM fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 41st minute. Penalty! The goalkeeper, Dumitru Şerbănescu, was totally fooled by Oțelul Galați's Nechifor Vulcan, who 44 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. If Emanuel Nediu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Emanuel Nediu to make the kick off. Bancesti CSM's Emanuel Nediu got a good chance for a goal in the 52nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 56th minute, Emanuel Nediu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Ionică Turbatu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 61st minute of the match Nechifor Vulcan shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Dumitru Şerbănescu showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Dumitru Şerbănescu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nechifor Aplugăriței, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. After having played for 67 minutes, Emanuel Nediu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Bancesti CSM's supporters crossed their fingers, but Emanuel Nediu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Alexandru Penescu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ciprian Mardare having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Oțelul Galați's zone, Emanuel Nediu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 83 minutes into the match, Oțelul Galați's goalkeeper Ciprian Mardare had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ionică Turbatu. With a little luck, Oțelul Galați's Ciprian Mardare got control of the ball when Emanuel Nediu tried to sneak it across the goal line. Ionică Turbatu might have been able to make a better finish in the 92nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ciprian Mardare. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ionică Turbatu ran back to his position shaking his head. If Alexandru Penescu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Many of Bancesti CSM's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. Bancesti CSM may have spent more time on the ball, but Oțelul Galați were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
