With an extended leg and a bit of luck Leontin Corbu prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Gheorghe Crușeveanu struck a weak shot in the 11th minute. Leontin Corbu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Rapid Bucuresti. The supporters of Rapid Bucuresti booed when SErioXul was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cornel Grozăvescu didn't get a good kick on the ball. Leontin Corbu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gheorghe Crușeveanu, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. In the 18th match minute, Rapid Bucuresti was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Iustinian Popeangă to maneuver through the defense. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Maxim Scripcaru stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. George Bănățeanu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 51st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 52 played minutes SErioXul got a freekick which was hit by Panait Oțeteleșanu. Gheorghe Crușeveanu struck a weak shot in the 53rd minute. In the 83rd minute, George Bănățeanu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Vlad Manciulescu hit a great freekick 85 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by George Bănățeanu in the 89th minute of play forced SErioXul's goalkeeper Leontin Corbu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 91st minute Rapid Bucuresti were awarded a corner. Niculae Mohora went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led Rapid Bucuresti's Niculae Mohora to fire away a dangerous shot which Leontin Corbu despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Gheorghe Crușeveanu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Iustinian Popeangă fell near the penalty area in the 95th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Rapid Bucuresti's protests and gave Iustinian Popeangă a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Rapid Bucuresti getting a freekick after 96 minutes play. Iustinian Popeangă hit a great ball.
