Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Gheorghe Crușeveanu started the match with the kick off. Cosmin Pădureanu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Egert Laisk in the 8th minute of play. In the 11thth minute of the game Gheorghe Crușeveanu who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Zimbrul's Niculae Datcu was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 13 minutes into the match, Rapid Bucuresti's goal looked a bit too open when Egert Laisk came free, but Cosmin Pădureanu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cosmin Pădureanu stood somewhat misplaced when Andrei Honciu came free in front of goal and shot 1-0 to the left of him in the 20 minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Egert Laisk in the 23rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Cosmin Pădureanu saved Rapid Bucuresti from getting behind. With a little luck, Rapid Bucuresti's Cosmin Pădureanu got control of the ball when Andrei Honciu tried to sneak it across the goal line. When Rapid Bucuresti's Gheorghe Crușeveanu in the 26th minute got a chance for a shot 26th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Cosmin Pădureanu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Zimbrul. After 40 minutes, Vlad Manciulescu mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Rapid Bucuresti and the Zimbrul players grew even worse after the yellow card. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Andrei Honciu stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Niculae Datcu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Iustinian Popeangă in the 51st minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Iustinian Popeangă kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Niculae Datcu. That made the score 1-1 in the 55 minute of play. Mihail Tilincă's late challenge caught a Rapid Bucuresti's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Mihail Tilincă helped the player get up and apologised. In the 60th minute, Mihail Tilincă hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Niculae Datcu made a fantastic save in the 61st minute, when George Bănățeanu sent off a good shot on target. Egert Laisk might have been able to make a better finish in the 73rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Cosmin Pădureanu. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Egert Laisk ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 73rd minute, Ovidiu Mateescu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 75 played minutes, Zimbrul's Egert Laisk shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Cosmin Pădureanu came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Zimbrul reached it. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Egert Laisk in the 77th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Cosmin Pădureanu saved Rapid Bucuresti from getting behind. If Andrei Honciu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Andrei Honciu in the 85th managed to get into a good position. A very good chance. In the 94th minute, Rapid Bucuresti's Gheorghe Crușeveanu ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Niculae Datcu. Niculae Datcu yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-2. The Rapid Bucuresti players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Zimbrul from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
