The supporters of Costisata CSS booed when Girleni was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cezar Panțâru didn't get a good kick on the ball. Costisata CSS's Radu Daimacă played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Iordache Gavra in the 18th minute of play. Valentin Albescu didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 22nd minute, which inside left pole to 2-0. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Codrin Zgârcu in the 41st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Radu Daimacă prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 43rd minute, Costisata CSS's Codrin Năsturel seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Codrin Năsturel the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Costisata CSS protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Codrin Năsturel had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. After 43 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Costisata CSS! The referee gave Girleni a penalty, 46 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Iustin Uduleanu, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Costisata CSS's Radu Daimacă. 2-1. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Codrin Zgârcu to make the kick off. Valentin Albescu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nichifor Negrițoiu, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. Valentin Albescu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nichifor Negrițoiu in the 57th minute of the match. In the 59th minute the ball was on its way in behind Girleni's goalkeeper Valentin Albescu, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nichifor Negrițoiu in the 72nd minute of play forced Girleni's goalkeeper Valentin Albescu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Valentin Albescu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Radu Ciprian, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. Nichifor Negrițoiu's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Valentin Albescu read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 76th minute of play. Marius Tarcea kicked well hit freekick during the 77th minute of the match. In the 83rd minute, Radu Ciprian hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Nichifor Negrițoiu struck a weak shot in the 90th minute. Valentin Albescu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Costisata CSS. Costisata CSS's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Codrin Zgârcu 91 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 3-2. Valentin Albescu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nichifor Negrițoiu, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Costisata CSS had won after a very even match.
