In the 3rd minute, Mircea Jurcuț hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gabriel Târlea sent away a hard shot on goal in the 4th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Corneliu Gruia took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gabriel Târlea, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. George Tunaru stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Gavril Morar's shot from short distance in the 11th minute. The audience was convinced that Gabriel Târlea's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Corneliu Gruia was relentless in the 16th minute of the game. Buceava's Corneliu Gruia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gabriel Târlea in the 18th minute of play. George Tunaru made a fantastic save in the 21st minute, when Traian Iovan sent off a good shot on target. An unexpectedly hard shot by Manuel Tomescu in the 23rd minute of play forced Buceava's goalkeeper Corneliu Gruia to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Corneliu Gruia took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Manuel Tomescu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gavril Morar in the 27th minute of play forced Manosiu's goalkeeper George Tunaru to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Traian Iovan struck a weak shot in the 35th minute. George Tunaru didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Buceava. Gavril Morar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without George Tunaru having to interfere. 46 minutes into the match, Gabriel Târlea had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Corneliu Gruia. Buceava's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Gabriel Târlea was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. After the first half Manosiu were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Gavril Morar to make the kick off. Corneliu Gruia made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gabriel Târlea in the 54th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Manuel Tomescu got free with Corneliu Gruia in the 56th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Gabriel Târlea fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Corneliu Gruia having to interfere. In the 67th minute of the match Dorin Novăceanu sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Corneliu Gruia skillfully saved the ball. George Tunaru took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Traian Iovan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Buceava's Corneliu Gruia proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 71st minute of the match, managed to save Buceava from getting a goal against them. Gavril Morar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Gavril Morar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 80th minute, Gavril Morar got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a rather tough play, Manosiu's Valer Iftode got a free kick in the 81st minute. Traian Iovan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 84 minutes into the match, Gavril Morar had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of George Tunaru. Manosiu's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Gavril Morar was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-3. After a rather tough play, Buceava's Anton Vuia got a free kick in the 91st minute. Manosiu's supporters stood up full of expectation in the 93rd minute of the game, when Dorin Novăceanu after an extraordinary solo performance found himself with a golden opportunity in front of Buceava's goal. Dorin Novăceanu was unfortunally a little to anxious and the ball went outside the goal. The Manosiu supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Manosiu would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
