Spectators: 35 (Terracing: 27, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Ştefan Almăgean started the match with the kick off. Cristian Zubaşcu kicked well hit freekick during the 7th minute of the match. In the 10th minute Popeni AS were awarded a corner. Cristinel Butnaru went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Edilchioi AFC's goalie and right to Ferdinand Berca. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Edilchioi AFC's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. In the 13th minute Ştefan Almăgean shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Iustinian Bebeșel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Iustinian Bebeșel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ştefan Almăgean in the 15th minute of the match. When the match had gone on for 17 minutes, Tiberiu Bojin took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Emanuel Pădureanu to make any attempt to save it. Iustinian Bebeșel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ştefan Almăgean, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. Emanuel Pădureanu made an important save on a dangerous shot by Iulian Pantiș in the 22nd minute. The audience was convinced that Tiberiu Bojin's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Emanuel Pădureanu was relentless in the 24th minute of the game. Emanuel Pădureanu stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Iulian Pantiș's shot from short distance in the 26th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Iulian Pantiș in the 27th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Emanuel Pădureanu prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 28thth minute of the game Iulian Pantiș who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Popeni AS's Emanuel Pădureanu was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Iulian Pantiș in the 33rdth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Emanuel Pădureanu, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Emanuel Pădureanu made an important save on a dangerous shot by Iulian Pantiș in the 35th minute. In the 38th minute, Ştefan Almăgean hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Emanuel Pădureanu stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Irinel Iurașcu's shot from short distance in the 45th minute. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Tiberiu Bojin to strike the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the match, Popeni AS's goal looked a bit too open when Tiberiu Bojin came free, but Emanuel Pădureanu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Ilie Minulescu fell near the penalty area in the 53rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Popeni AS's protests and gave Ilie Minulescu a yellow card for diving instead. After 53 played minutes Popeni AS got a freekick which was hit by Ilie Minulescu. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Iulian Pantiș in the 55th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Emanuel Pădureanu saved Popeni AS from getting behind. The audience was convinced that Tiberiu Bojin's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Emanuel Pădureanu was relentless in the 57th minute of the game. In the 60th match minute, Edilchioi AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Irinel Iurașcu to maneuver through the defense. Iustinian Bebeșel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ştefan Almăgean, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. After 63 played minutes Edilchioi AFC got a freekick which was hit by Mugur Ţipirig. Popeni AS's Ştefan Almăgean got a good chance for a goal in the 64th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Irinel Iurașcu hit a great freekick 66 minutes into the match. Popeni AS's Cristinel Butnaru couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 67th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Edilchioi AFC. 68 minutes into the match, Edilchioi AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Ştefan Almăgean came free, but Iustinian Bebeșel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Emanuel Pădureanu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Iulian Pantiș, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. Emanuel Pădureanu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Iulian Pantiș, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Tiberiu Bojin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Iulian Pantiș fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Emanuel Pădureanu having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 82nd minute, Tiberiu Bojin managed to get in a good position for a shot. Edilchioi AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Tiberiu Bojin was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Emanuel Pădureanu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Iulian Pantiș in the 84th minute of play forced Popeni AS's goalkeeper Emanuel Pădureanu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ilie Minulescu kicked well hit freekick during the 84th minute of the match. If Ştefan Almăgean had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Remus Aluchei received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Iustinian Bebeșel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Popeni AS's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
