Marcu Zăgănescu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dorin Poplăcan having to interfere. Dragosa's Petrică Slătineanu couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 19th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Alsorepa. 21 minutes into the match, Alsorepa's goal looked a bit too open when Marcu Zăgănescu came free, but Dorin Poplăcan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gigel Verzea struck a weak shot in the 23rd minute. Dorin Poplăcan didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Dragosa. Eusebiu Găvănescu charged in rather forcefully in the 29th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Eusebiu Găvănescu the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Cristinel Bogătean showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lucrețiu Aluneanu, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. 36 minutes into the match, Alsorepa's goal looked a bit too open when Marcu Zăgănescu came free, but Dorin Poplăcan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Eugen Stănilă recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 47th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Marcu Zăgănescu was the one to do the kick off. Dorel Bacanu hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. Dragosa's Petrică Slătineanu shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 60th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Dorin Poplăcan but with some difficulty. Șerban Zgondea hit a great freekick 61 minutes into the match. If Gigel Verzea had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Dragosa booed when Alsorepa was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Laurențiu Mironescu didn't get a good kick on the ball. After recieving a nice pass, Dragosa's Petrică Slătineanu tried to score from far away in the 71st minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. An unexpected shot in the 73rd minute by Marcu Zăgănescu got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Horea David who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 79thth minute tested the skills of Dorin Poplăcan when he managed to save the team from getting behind. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Victor Zberea during the 80th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Alsorepa's Victor Zberea got a free kick in the 80th minute. Gigel Verzea who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 82ndth minute tested the skills of Dorin Poplăcan when he managed to save the team from getting behind. 86 minutes into the match, Alsorepa's goalkeeper Dorin Poplăcan had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gigel Verzea. Dragosa's Cristinel Bogătean played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lucrețiu Aluneanu in the 88th minute of play. Cristinel Bogătean stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Lucrețiu Aluneanu's shot from short distance in the 90th minute. With a little luck, Alsorepa's Dorin Poplăcan got control of the ball when Gigel Verzea tried to sneak it across the goal line. Eugen Stănilă charged in rather forcefully in the 94th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Eugen Stănilă the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 94th match minute, Alsorepa was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eugen Stănilă to maneuver through the defense. Alsorepa succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Dragosa had controlled the match.
