When the match had gone on for 3 minutes, Damian Caranfil put it in 1-0 from a short distance just to the right of Dorin Poplăcan. The supporters of Alsorepa booed when Zagavia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 5 match minutes in a wonderful position. Petruț Elian didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 8thth minute of the game Lucrețiu Aluneanu who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Zagavia's Maxim Giurăscu was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Dan Stănciulescu during the 9th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 9th minute, Dan Stănciulescu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a little luck, Alsorepa's Dorin Poplăcan got control of the ball when Radu Torouţ tried to sneak it across the goal line. 16 minutes into the match, Zagavia's Radu Torouţ sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Dorin Poplăcan narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Zagavia's Damian Caranfil got a good chance for a goal in the 19th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Zagavia's Damian Caranfil in the 23rd minute got a chance for a shot 23rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Alsorepa's goalie prevented a goal. Eugen Stănilă hit a great ball. Radu Torouţ could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 32nd minute of the match, but Dorin Poplăcan made a huge save. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Damian Caranfil in the 39th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Dorin Poplăcan saved Alsorepa from getting behind. When Zagavia's Damian Caranfil in the 41st minute got a chance for a shot 41st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Alsorepa's goalie prevented a goal. In the 44th minute, Radu Torouţ got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Damian Caranfil to strike the kick off in the second half. When the match clock showed 51 minutes, the score became 3-0 when Damian Caranfil sped through Alsorepa's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Dorin Poplăcan. In the 55th minute, Radu Torouţ got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Radu Torouţ had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Radu Torouţ struck a weak shot in the 60th minute. Dorin Poplăcan didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Zagavia. The supporters of Zagavia booed when Alsorepa was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Victor Zberea didn't get a good kick on the ball. Dorin Poplăcan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Radu Torouţ, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Damian Caranfil fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dorin Poplăcan having to interfere. Damian Caranfil received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Dorin Poplăcan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 69 minutes into the match, Alsorepa's goal looked a bit too open when Damian Caranfil came free, but Dorin Poplăcan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. During the 71st minute of the match Dan Stănciulescu completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Dan Stănciulescu a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. In the 72nd minute, Dan Stănciulescu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Radu Torouţ sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Radu Torouţ came up free with the goalie in the 78th minute, the Zagavia fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Radu Torouţ couldn't finish the play. When Zagavia's Radu Torouţ in the 80th minute got a chance for a shot 80th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Alsorepa's goalie prevented a goal. Radu Torouţ's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Dorin Poplăcan read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 83rd minute of play. Alsorepa's Dorin Poplăcan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Petruț Elian in the 84th minute of play. After 86 minutes, Eugen Stănilă mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Alsorepa and the Zagavia players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Alsorepa getting a freekick after 86 minutes play. Eugen Stănilă hit a great ball. Dorin Poplăcan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Radu Torouţ in the 87th minute of the match. Dorin Poplăcan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Petruț Elian in the 88th minute of play. With a little luck, Zagavia's Maxim Giurăscu got control of the ball when Călin Eremia tried to sneak it across the goal line. Dorin Poplăcan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Radu Torouţ, who was totally free with the ball in the 94th minute. After a rather tough play, Alsorepa's Laurențiu Mironescu got a free kick in the 96th minute. When the referee ended the match the Zagavia players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
