If Robert Turbatu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 10th match minute, Racis was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sever Fetea to maneuver through the defense. Nicodim Hulubei sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 14th minute, Dan Vrejiu managed to get in a good position for a shot. Nagybacon AS's supporters rose to their feet, but Dan Vrejiu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Leonard Slicaru breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 17th minute of the match Liviu Pârcălab shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Alexandru Măgură showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Horaţiu Bidulescu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Alexandru Măgură tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the match had gone on for 22 minutes, Dumitru Mitrofan put it in 1-0 from a short distance just to the right of Alexandru Măgură. After some fancy dribbling in the 25th minute, Horaţiu Bidulescu managed to get in a good position for a shot. Racis's supporters rose to their feet, but Horaţiu Bidulescu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Alexandru Măgură breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Horaţiu Bidulescu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alexandru Măgură having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Robert Turbatu in the 35th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Leonard Slicaru prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a rather tough play, Racis's Sever Fetea got a free kick in the 38th minute. Nagybacon AS's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Alin Moșoiu in the 41st minute. Nagybacon AS's Alin Moșoiu was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Leonard Slicaru in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Sever Zgondea during the 43rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a defensive mix-up in Racis's zone, Robert Turbatu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Leonard Slicaru came out of the goal and Robert Turbatu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 46th minute the ball was on its way in behind Racis's goalkeeper Leonard Slicaru, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Leonard Slicaru made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dan Vrejiu in the 47th minute of play.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Horaţiu Bidulescu stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. With a little luck, Racis's Leonard Slicaru got control of the ball when Robert Turbatu tried to sneak it across the goal line. Robert Turbatu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leonard Slicaru having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 63rd minute, Codrin Dănescu managed to get in a good position for a shot. Nagybacon AS's supporters rose to their feet, but Codrin Dănescu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Leonard Slicaru breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Leonard Slicaru stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Dan Vrejiu's shot from short distance in the 75th minute.
