In the 8th match minute, Zoicarul was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Codruț Gâlcă to maneuver through the defense. Costică Berbec took the ball and in the 9 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Șerban Armanca. Șerban Armanca dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. If Tudor Panin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Octavian Șora hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. In the 21st minute, Tudor Panin got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Gelu Juverdeanu's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ionică Burtea read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 30th minute of play. Zoicarul's Șerban Armanca proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 35th minute of the match, managed to save Zoicarul from getting a goal against them. Tudor Panin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ionică Burtea showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Codruț Gâlcă in the 41st minute of the match. Augustin Neacșu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ionică Burtea having to interfere. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Codruț Gâlcă made the kick off in the second half. Gelu Juverdeanu's late challenge caught a F.C. APULUM's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Gelu Juverdeanu helped the player get up and apologised. Gelu Juverdeanu hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. Șerban Armanca made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tudor Panin in the 58th minute of play. 89 minutes into the match, Zoicarul's goal looked a bit too open when Felix Simionaş came free, but Șerban Armanca reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Iacob Arnăuțoiu charged in rather forcefully in the 92nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Iacob Arnăuțoiu the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. 91 minutes into the game, one of F.C. APULUM:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Ionică Burtea had in the 93rdth minute some difficulties stopping Gheorghe Floruțiu's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Augustin Neacșu could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 100th minute of the match, but Ionică Burtea made a huge save. Despite being the better team, F.C. APULUM failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
