With a couple of smart ball manuevers Codrin Anghel in the 6th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Mihai Barbă saved Gorgova from getting behind. Mihăiţă Honciu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 9th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Codrin Anghel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 17 minutes into the game, DarkSide's Codrin Anghel nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Mihai Barbă made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. Mihai Barbă made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Codrin Anghel in the 21st minute of play. 29 minutes into the match, DarkSide's goal looked a bit too open when Cristi Hănescu came free, but Remus Marina reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cristi Hănescu's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Remus Marina read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 30th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Codrin Anghel in the 31st minute of play forced Gorgova's goalkeeper Mihai Barbă to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Codrin Anghel scored 0-3 in the 31st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Mihai Barbă, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. If Codrin Anghel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 36 played minutes Gorgova got a freekick which was hit by Dumitru Raţiu. An unexpectedly hard shot by Codrin Anghel in the 37th minute of play forced Gorgova's goalkeeper Mihai Barbă to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 39th minute, Mihăiţă Honciu made a precise shot to the right of Remus Marina. DarkSide's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-3. 43 minutes into the game, Răzvan Maruță cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-4. Mihai Barbă was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After the first half DarkSide were leading 1-4. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Cristi Hănescu stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Gorgova's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Dumitru Raţiu in the 52nd minute. Gorgova's Ovidiu Mihu was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Remus Marina in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Gorgova's Mihai Barbă proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 57th minute of the match, managed to save Gorgova from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Horea Paulescu in the 62nd minute of play forced Gorgova's goalkeeper Mihai Barbă to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of DarkSide booed when Gorgova was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dacian Sucigan didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Cristi Hănescu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience was convinced that Cristi Hănescu's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Remus Marina was relentless in the 69th minute of the game. Codrin Anghel received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Mihai Barbă came out and tried to block the shot, but Codrin Anghel slotted it home off the left post making it 1-5 in the 81st minute. Cristi Hănescu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Remus Marina tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gorgova's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cristi Hănescu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The DarkSide supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing DarkSide would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
