Spectators: 35 (Terracing: 27, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Șerban Mușat got the match started through his kick off. After 3rd play minutes Dan Balaban shot 0-1, a short shot which went by Codruț Roșeanu and just under the crossbar into goal. Codruț Roșeanu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Isac Iovanovici in the 6th minute of the match. In the 8th minute Șerban Mușat shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gică Cozmâncă saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Moise Spoială had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Baba's Șerban Mușat got a good chance for a goal in the 11th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Baba's zone, Isac Iovanovici stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Codruț Roșeanu came out of the goal and Isac Iovanovici tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of Smirdan booed when Baba was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Călin Stoleru didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 25th minute, Maxim Dobrinescu sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Baba's Codruț Roșeanu didn't even have to move. Călin Negrescu's late challenge caught a Baba's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Călin Negrescu helped the player get up and apologised. After 31 minutes of play Smirdan's Călin Negrescu was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. After a rather tough play, Smirdan's Călin Negrescu got a free kick in the 32nd minute. 36 minutes into the match, Smirdan's goalkeeper Gică Cozmâncă had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Moise Spoială. Isac Iovanovici sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Isac Iovanovici received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Codruț Roșeanu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Isac Iovanovici was the one to do the kick off. Moise Spoială scored 1-1 in the 61st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Gică Cozmâncă, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The audience thought a goal was coming when Isac Iovanovici got free with Codruț Roșeanu in the 64th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When Nichifor Răduleț fell near the penalty area in the 65th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Baba's protests and gave Nichifor Răduleț a yellow card for diving instead. In the 65th minute, Nichifor Răduleț hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Baba's zone, Isac Iovanovici stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Codruț Roșeanu came out of the goal and Isac Iovanovici tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Gică Cozmâncă made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Moise Spoială in the 75th minute of play. 75 minutes into the match, Smirdan's goal looked a bit too open when Moise Spoială came free, but Gică Cozmâncă reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 76 played minutes Smirdan got a freekick which was hit by Dumitru Ghițulescu. Șerban Mușat struck a weak shot in the 77th minute. Gică Cozmâncă didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Baba. After a defensive mix-up in Baba's zone, Isac Iovanovici stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Codruț Roșeanu came out of the goal and Isac Iovanovici tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
