Octav Ghețea fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Stelian Aronescu having to interfere. After having played for 20 minutes, Leonard Pantelimon managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Balauseri's supporters crossed their fingers, but Leonard Pantelimon was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Costin Bivolaru's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Stelian Aronescu read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 22nd minute of play. 27 minutes into the match, Romanian Patriots's goal looked a bit too open when Leonard Pantelimon came free, but Stelian Aronescu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 28 minutes into the match, Balauseri's goal looked a bit too open when Alin Romoşan came free, but Nae Scorţea reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Romanian Patriots's zone, Costin Bivolaru stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Stelian Aronescu came out of the goal and Costin Bivolaru tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ilie Orășan was the one to do the kick off. 53 minutes into the game, Petru Păltineanu threw the ball into play from the sideline. Balauseri's Valeriu Stratulat quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. After having played for 55 minutes, Costin Bivolaru managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Balauseri's Leonard Pantelimon got a good chance for a goal in the 62nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Nae Scorţea showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristian Verzeanu, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. 71 minutes into the game, Petru Păltineanu was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Romanian Patriots's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Balauseri the free kick. After a rather tough play, Romanian Patriots's Petru Păltineanu got a free kick in the 72nd minute. In the 74th minute, Alin Romoşan got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Nae Scorţea showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristian Verzeanu, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. The supporters of Balauseri booed when Romanian Patriots was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 78 match minutes in a wonderful position. Maxim Barbonța didn't get a good kick on the ball.
