The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After a rather tough play, Vuvuru's Martin Chesaru got a free kick in the 12th minute. When Florin Pătru came up free with the goalie in the 15th minute, the Comaneasca AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Florin Pătru couldn't finish the play. The supporters of Vuvuru booed when Comaneasca AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Andrei Stelaru didn't get a good kick on the ball. Denis Bara took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Viorel Stejaru, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Comaneasca AFC's Ion Macrea got a good chance for a goal in the 23rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 25th minute Viorel Stejaru shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Denis Bara saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Florin Pătru in the 29th minute of play forced Vuvuru's goalkeeper Emanuel Muscaș to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 31st minute the ball was on its way in behind Comaneasca AFC's goalkeeper Denis Bara, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Denis Bara showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Viorel Stejaru in the 32nd minute of the match. When Leontin Sasu came up free with the goalie in the 34th minute, the Vuvuru fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Leontin Sasu couldn't finish the play. Comaneasca AFC's Ion Macrea got a good chance for a goal in the 37th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Andrei Stelaru kicked well hit freekick during the 40th minute of the match. In the 41st minute, Viorel Stejaru got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. A collision led to Comaneasca AFC getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. Sever Ignea hit a great ball. Florin Pătru received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Emanuel Muscaș tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Florin Pătru to make the kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Comaneasca AFC's zone, Leontin Sasu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Denis Bara came out of the goal and Leontin Sasu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Leontin Sasu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Denis Bara tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 64th minute, Ion Macrea managed to get in a good position for a shot. Comaneasca AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Ion Macrea was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Emanuel Muscaș breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 67 minutes into the game, Leontin Sasu lined in a short shot 1-1 behind a frustrated Denis Bara. In the 71st minute, Sever Ignea hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The crowd rose to their feet as Vuvuru's Leontin Sasu slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Denis Bara. That made the score 1-2 after 77 minutes of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Florin Pătru in the 84th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Emanuel Muscaș saved Vuvuru from getting behind. When Florin Pătru came up free with the goalie in the 86th minute, the Comaneasca AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Florin Pătru couldn't finish the play. Ion Macrea received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Emanuel Muscaș tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Emanuel Muscaș showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Florin Pătru, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute.
