With an extended leg and a bit of luck Mircea Maghiar prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Dumbrava's Isac Cristian in the 7th minute got a chance for a shot 7th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye BSC Young Boys's goalie prevented a goal. After a defensive mix-up in BSC Young Boys's zone, Isac Cristian stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mircea Maghiar came out of the goal and Isac Cristian tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 25th minute, Mihail Condrea got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After having played for 26 minutes, Isac Cristian managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Dumbrava's supporters crossed their fingers, but Isac Cristian was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Vlad Baștină might have been able to make a better finish in the 28th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Constantin Moscu. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Vlad Baștină ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 30th minute, Virgil Jienescu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 31 minutes, Virgil Jienescu mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Dumbrava and the BSC Young Boys players grew even worse after the yellow card.
