Spectators: 35 (Terracing: 27, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Eduard Diaconu took the kick off in the first half of the match. Cosmin Spirea showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gheorghe Stana in the 4th minute of the match. After having played for 8 minutes, Eduard Diaconu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Baia Mare's supporters crossed their fingers, but Eduard Diaconu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Savirsin's Ştefan Costescu in the 10th minute got a chance for a shot 10th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye FC Baia Mare's goalie prevented a goal. Cosmin Spirea made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gheorghe Stana in the 16th minute of play. If Ştefan Costescu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ştefan Costescu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 20th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After having played for 23 minutes, Ştefan Costescu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Savirsin's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ştefan Costescu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Octavian Covaliu was a little too slow when Gabriel Udrea got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 25th minute. The score was now 1-0. Gheorghe Stana blasted a shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Cosmin Spirea having to make a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gheorghe Stana in the 30th minute of play forced FC Baia Mare's goalkeeper Cosmin Spirea to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Vali Bărnuțiu's late challenge caught a Savirsin's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Vali Bărnuțiu helped the player get up and apologised. Vali Bărnuțiu kicked well hit freekick during the 33rd minute of the match. After a rather tough play, FC Baia Mare's Vali Bărnuțiu got a free kick in the 34th minute. Florin Lupșoiu was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 35th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Octavian Covaliu made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gabriel Udrea in the 37th minute. Gheorghe Stana received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Cosmin Spirea showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ştefan Costescu, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. Gabriel Udrea sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Savirsin getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Adam Muslea hit a great ball. Eduard Diaconu struck a weak shot in the 58th minute. Octavian Covaliu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC Baia Mare. Adam Muslea kicked well hit freekick during the 65th minute of the match. 68 minutes had been played when some careless play by Savirsin's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Doru Panescu was slow to take the kick. During this time FC Baia Mare's players had a chance to rest. The corner led FC Baia Mare's Gabriel Udrea to fire away a dangerous shot which Octavian Covaliu despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Mugurel Tirulescu kicked well hit freekick during the 74th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gabriel Udrea in the 79th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Octavian Covaliu saved Savirsin from getting behind. After having played for 84 minutes, Eduard Diaconu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Baia Mare's supporters crossed their fingers, but Eduard Diaconu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Florin Lupșoiu during the 87th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of FC Baia Mare booed when Savirsin was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 87 match minutes in a wonderful position. Florin Lupșoiu didn't get a good kick on the ball. Eduard Diaconu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Octavian Covaliu having to interfere. FC Baia Mare's Cosmin Spirea played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ştefan Costescu in the 92nd minute of play. In the 97th minute, Adam Muslea got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
