Liviu Mugur was a little too slow when Silviu Gâdea got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 34th minute. The score was now 1-1. After a defensive mix-up in Giroc All StarS's zone, Aron Ilinca stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Liviu Mugur came out of the goal and Aron Ilinca tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Constantin Basarab made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eliodor Gheorghiță in the 40th minute of play. Jiul Petrosani 1919's Constantin Basarab played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mădălin Pencu in the 43rd minute of play. Eliodor Gheorghiță's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Constantin Basarab read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 44th minute of play. Ionuț Panțâru received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Liviu Mugur tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ionuț Panțâru sent away a hard shot on goal in the 48th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Giroc All StarS's Costel Hurezeanu pulled a muscle in his leg after 65 minutes and couldn't finish the game. Silviu Gâdea charged in rather forcefully in the 65th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Silviu Gâdea the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Silviu Gâdea received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart.
