Spectators: 35 (Terracing: 27, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Moise Bălace made the kick off and thus started the match. Marin Minulescu came out of the goal in the 4th minute to try and stop a shot by Simbrias's Dumitru Muntean. But to his dismay, Dumitru Muntean quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. When Simbrias's Niculae Domuță in the 8th minute got a chance for a shot 8th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Varati FC's goalie prevented a goal. When the match clock showed 9 minutes, the score became 0-2 when Niculae Domuță sped through Varati FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Marin Minulescu. Varati FC's Marin Minulescu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dumitru Muntean in the 12th minute of play. Marian Lupoi was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Moise Bălace showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-2 in the 23 minute of play. If Niculae Domuță had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 32nd minute, Iordache Tadici got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Aurelian Pacuraru kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. Marian Lupoi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aurelian Pacuraru in the 38th minute of play. After having played for 39 minutes, Niculae Domuță managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Simbrias's supporters crossed their fingers, but Niculae Domuță was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A collision led to Simbrias getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Ernest Teofil hit a great ball. In the 47th minute Moise Bălace shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marian Lupoi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Niculae Domuță was the one to do the kick off. In a very dangerous position, a player in Simbrias fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 51st minute. Penalty! After a rather tough play, Varati FC's Dorin Iosif got a free kick in the 59th minute. A collision led to Varati FC getting a freekick after 62 minutes play. Moise Bălace hit a great ball. Niculae Domuță who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 66thth minute tested the skills of Marin Minulescu when he managed to save the team from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sandu Tadici in the 67th minute of play forced Simbrias's goalkeeper Marian Lupoi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Marian Lupoi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Moise Bălace, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. In the 70th minute the ball was on its way in behind Simbrias's goalkeeper Marian Lupoi, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Panait Matei during the 72nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. 71 minutes into the game, one of Simbrias:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 73rd minute there was a penalty for Varati FC. Nicolae Gorjanu stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Marian Lupoi. 3-2. After having played for 80 minutes, Dorin Iosif managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Varati FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dorin Iosif was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A collision led to Simbrias getting a freekick after 81 minutes play. Iordache Tadici hit a great ball. Moise Bălace might have been able to make a better finish in the 86th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Marian Lupoi. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Moise Bălace ran back to his position shaking his head. Aurelian Pacuraru hit a great freekick 89 minutes into the match. Viorel Tunaru was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 93rd minute. Simbrias's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. If Sandu Tadici had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 100th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Varati FC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
