Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) When Andrei Croitoru came up free with the goalie in the 4th minute, the Ciocoveni AS fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Andrei Croitoru couldn't finish the play. Vali Blăniță sent away a hard shot on goal in the 6th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 9 minutes, Andrei Croitoru managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ciocoveni AS's supporters crossed their fingers, but Andrei Croitoru was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Andrei Croitoru struck a weak shot in the 12th minute. Mugur Lucescu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ciocoveni AS. Sandu Jienescu hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Claudiu Hristea got free with Călin Groza in the 17th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Adrian Platon in the 44th minute of play forced Nevesteasca's goalkeeper Mugur Lucescu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Nevesteasca's Mugur Lucescu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Adrian Platon in the 47th minute of play.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and George Alexandru made a kick off. Mugur Lucescu was a little too slow when Adrian Platon got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 62nd minute. The score was now 0-1. Andrei Croitoru received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Mugur Lucescu came out and tried to block the shot, but Andrei Croitoru slotted it home off the left post making it 0-2 in the 64th minute. After having played for 68 minutes, Andrei Croitoru managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ciocoveni AS's supporters crossed their fingers, but Andrei Croitoru was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With a little luck, Nevesteasca's Mugur Lucescu got control of the ball when Andrei Croitoru tried to sneak it across the goal line. Sabin Petre's late challenge caught a Nevesteasca's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Sabin Petre helped the player get up and apologised. In the 77th match minute, Ciocoveni AS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sabin Petre to maneuver through the defense. Vali Blăniță received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Călin Groza tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. George Alexandru recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 86th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Ciocoveni AS eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
