Lucian Bobei took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Flavius Mihoc, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Dan Rogoz in the 6th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Lucian Bobei saved Caramidaru from getting behind. The supporters of Caramidaru booed when Cacova was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Petrică Andronescu didn't get a good kick on the ball. Octav Mârzac sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 14th minute Dan Rogoz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lucian Bobei saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 17th minute the ball was on its way in behind Cacova's goalkeeper Sandu Bîlbă, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Thanks to some nice moves Cezar Dridu could shoot a difficult shot in the 18th minute, which Sandu Bîlbă however easily saved by the left post. Dan Rogoz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Caramidaru's Octav Mârzac got a good chance for a goal in the 24th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Sandu Bîlbă was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 26th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Gigel Robu. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Costel Lupșe during the 32nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Caramidaru getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Costel Lupșe hit a great ball. In the 35th minute, Flavius Mihoc made a precise shot to the right of Lucian Bobei. Caramidaru's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. After 38 minutes of play, Cacova's Dan Rogoz made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Lucian Bobei was left in no man's land by his defense there! 42 minutes into the match, Cacova's goalkeeper Sandu Bîlbă had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Octav Mârzac. Mihail Balint's late challenge caught a Caramidaru's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Mihail Balint helped the player get up and apologised. In the 45th match minute, Cacova was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mihail Balint to maneuver through the defense. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

Cacova's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
