Ştefan Grindeanu scored 0-2 in the 17th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Adam Huștea, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Eusebiu Scripcaru struck a weak shot in the 22nd minute. Octav Manciulea didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for UNIREA TRICOLOR. In the 23rd minute, Riccardo Monney got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Eusebiu Scripcaru blasted a shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Octav Manciulea having to make a save. If Iacob Chițac had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Claudiu Trifu succeeded in the game's 30th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 0-3. A collision led to UNIREA TRICOLOR getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Eusebiu Scripcaru hit a great ball. In the 33rd match minute, UNIREA TRICOLOR was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dragoş Angelescu to maneuver through the defense. If Eusebiu Scripcaru had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Eusebiu Scripcaru received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Octav Manciulea tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After the first half Sohodolu CSS were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The audience was convinced that Eusebiu Scripcaru's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Octav Manciulea was relentless in the 57th minute of the game. Claudiu Trifu received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Adam Huștea came out and tried to block the shot, but Claudiu Trifu slotted it home off the left post making it 0-5 in the 95th minute.
