Vintilă Ţintă showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Claudiu Trifu, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. Prundu United's Vintilă Ţintă played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Radu Roşoga in the 13th minute of play. After 15 played minutes Prundu United got a freekick which was hit by Emanuel Ioneasa. Aurel Bărbat was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 16th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Radu Roşoga in the 39th minute a chance for a shot on goal. Octav Manciulea came out of the goal and Marian Manciu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Prundu United's Dumitru Trifu suffered a concussion in the 55th minute, after a hard challenge, and had to leave the field. Dorin Buzescu's late challenge caught a Prundu United's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card.
