Latinu CS's Martin Herescu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Iulian Ghimiș in the 13th minute of play. Dacian Romulus stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Claudiu Crăciunescu's shot from short distance in the 16th minute. 17 minutes into the match, Claudiu Crăciunescu notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Äç.Jökërül 89's Dacian Romulus. Dacian Romulus was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Valentin Tiţe kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. Remus Morovan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dacian Romulus having to interfere. Emil Butuc's late challenge caught a Latinu CS's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Emil Butuc helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Latinu CS booed when Äç.Jökërül 89 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

It was a well-played corner which Niculae Pătru managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. After a rather tough play, Latinu CS's Anton Toader got a free kick in the 78th minute.
