Sarafinesti's Andrei Bântu proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 4th minute of the match, managed to save Sarafinesti from getting a goal against them. In the 5th minute, Codrin Iovan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The attack was good, but when Vali Homeag in the 8th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. Andrei Bântu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vali Homeag, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Sarafinesti's Cornel Iorga got a free kick in the 12th minute. In the 19th minute of the match, David Manea got a very nice opportunity to score, but Andrei Bântu was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Lucrețiu Melintes short, quick shot in the 21stth minute got Andrei Bântu to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Andrei Bântu made an important save on a dangerous shot by Lucrețiu Melinte in the 22nd minute. In the 23rd match minute, Sarafinesti was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Codrin Iovan to maneuver through the defense. Andrei Bântu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vali Homeag, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. In the 37th minute the ball was on its way in behind Sarafinesti's goalkeeper Andrei Bântu, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Codrin Iovan during the 37th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 43 played minutes Sarafinesti got a freekick which was hit by Codrin Iovan. David Manea took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 44th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Andrei Bântu. Sarafinesti's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 45th minute, David Manea made a precise shot to the right of Andrei Bântu. Sarafinesti's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Vali Homeag was the one to do the kick off. When the match clock showed 53 minutes, the score became 2-0 when Vali Homeag sped through Sarafinesti's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Andrei Bântu. 57 minutes into the match, Sarafinesti's goal looked a bit too open when David Manea came free, but Andrei Bântu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sarafinesti's Andrei Bântu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vali Homeag in the 60th minute of play. Vali Homeag struck a weak shot in the 63rd minute. Andrei Bântu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Verbia CS. If David Manea had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. David Manea fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Andrei Bântu having to interfere. Costel Patriciu charged in rather forcefully in the 68th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Costel Patriciu the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 68th minute, Costel Patriciu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Andrei Bântu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vali Homeag, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a little luck, Verbia CS's Ion Cârstea got control of the ball when Costel Patriciu tried to sneak it across the goal line. Cristinel Buda recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 74th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. David Manea received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Andrei Bântu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 80 minutes into the match, Verbia CS's Vali Homeag sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Andrei Bântu narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Through an outstanding action, after 82 minutes, Ion Cârstea successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. An unexpectedly hard shot by David Manea in the 85th minute of play forced Sarafinesti's goalkeeper Andrei Bântu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 87th minute, David Manea got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Andrei Bântu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vali Homeag in the 88th minute of play. Andrei Bântu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vali Homeag, who was totally free with the ball in the 96th minute. There was no doubt that Verbia CS were the better team. Verbia CS's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
