Spectators: 35 (Terracing: 27, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Eduard Banciu kicked off to start the match. 6 minutes into the match, FCSB's goal looked a bit too open when Ionuț Romeo came free, but Toader Panin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Toader Panin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ionuț Romeo in the 9th minute of the match. Toader Panin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristinel Diaconu in the 10th minute of play. Sorin Pârlog sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 18th match minute, FC Știința was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Iurie Mateianu to maneuver through the defense. After 21 played minutes FC Știința got a freekick which was hit by Costică Băieșu. Dorin Cezariu came out of the goal in the 23rd minute to try and stop a shot by FCSB's Ionică Romulus. But to his dismay, Ionică Romulus quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. In the 26th minute, Sorin Pârlog got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Cristinel Lungu's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Toader Panin read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 27th minute of play. In the 29th minute, Ionuț Romeo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Toader Panin was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Sorin Pârlog did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 2-1 to the left of a surprised Dorin Cezariu 31 minutes into the match. After some careless play in the FCSB defense, Iurie Mateianu kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Toader Panin. The FCSB fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Toader Panin should have stopped the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eduard Banciu in the 40th minute of play forced FCSB's goalkeeper Toader Panin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Sorin Pârlog was the one to do the kick off. In the 53rd minute, FCSB's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Cristinel Diaconu fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Toader Panin didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when FC Știința's Eduard Banciu shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 2-3 in the ordered_time% minute. With a little luck, FCSB's Toader Panin got control of the ball when Cristinel Diaconu tried to sneak it across the goal line. Dorin Cezariu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ionică Romulus in the 61st minute of play. Radu Hurmuzescu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dorin Cezariu having to interfere. Toader Panin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eduard Banciu in the 66th minute of the match. Dorin Cezariu didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Sorin Pârlog went, in the 67th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-3 was the resulting score. 73 minutes into the game, FC Știința's Iurie Mateianu nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Toader Panin made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-4. In the 87th minute, FC Știința's Ionuț Romeo dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 4-5. Sorin Pârlog blasted a shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Dorin Cezariu having to make a save. Cristinel Diaconu succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 4-6 in the 95th playminute. The FCSB supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching FC Știința's performance. The match ended with a win for FC Știința.
