The referee ignored FC Dinamo 1948's protests and gave Iosif Frântu a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to FC Dinamo 1948 getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. Iosif Frântu hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 12th minute, Vintilă Siclovan managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC Dinamo 1948's supporters rose to their feet, but Vintilă Siclovan was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Calistrat Sterescu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 14 played minutes FC Dinamo 1948 got a freekick which was hit by Iosif Frântu. Teodor Vulcan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Florin Nae sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Florin Borogeanu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aristide Filimon in the 21st minute of play. Virgil Vulpescu blasted a shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Florin Borogeanu having to make a save. Nitesti UFC's Calistrat Sterescu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vintilă Siclovan in the 24th minute of play. Iosif Frântu hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. In the 29th minute Vintilă Siclovan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Calistrat Sterescu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Florin Nae received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Florin Borogeanu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Vintilă Siclovan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With his leg Florin Borogeanu managed to avoid a goal in the 35thth minute, when Nitesti UFC's Florin Nae fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Aristide Filimon fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Florin Borogeanu having to interfere. 40 minutes into the match, Nitesti UFC's goal looked a bit too open when Teodor Vulcan came free, but Calistrat Sterescu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Iosif Frântu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Nitesti UFC's Virgil Vulpescu got a good chance for a goal in the 46th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Vintilă Siclovan made a kick off. In the 62nd minute of the match, Teodor Vulcan tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Calistrat Sterescu saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Nitesti UFC's Virgil Vulpescu got a good chance for a goal in the 65th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Virgil Vulpescu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Adam Druță was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 70 minutes had been played. In the 71st minute, Adam Druță hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Vintilă Siclovan could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 72nd minute of the match, but Calistrat Sterescu made a huge save. If Vintilă Siclovan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 82 played minutes FC Dinamo 1948 got a freekick which was hit by Leontin Oprișor. In the 83rd minute, Aristide Filimon made a precise shot to the right of Florin Borogeanu. FC Dinamo 1948's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. 89 minutes into the match, Nitesti UFC's goal looked a bit too open when Iosif Frântu came free, but Calistrat Sterescu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Nitesti UFC's Calistrat Sterescu proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 94th minute of the match, managed to save Nitesti UFC from getting a goal against them. FC Dinamo 1948's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
