Spectators: 35 (Terracing: 27, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Petruț Malcoci started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. After a defensive mix-up in FC Velos's zone, Lucrețiu Floricel stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Teodor Focșa came out of the goal and Lucrețiu Floricel tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of Cataleni AFC booed when FC Velos was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Emil Vâtcu didn't get a good kick on the ball. Teodor Focșa stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Lucrețiu Floricel's shot from short distance in the 5th minute. If Aristide Drâmba had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Aristide Drâmba received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. Mugur Tudorică tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Petruț Malcoci got free with Mugur Tudorică in the 12th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. FC Velos's Robert Frățilă got a good chance for a goal in the 13th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 15th match minute, FC Velos was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aristide Drâmba to maneuver through the defense. If Lucrețiu Floricel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Aristide Drâmba came up free with the goalie in the 19th minute, the FC Velos fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Aristide Drâmba couldn't finish the play. Mugur Tudorică showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aurelian Firea in the 22nd minute of the match. Petruț Malcoci sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 24 minutes, Emilian Brădescu mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Cataleni AFC and the FC Velos players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 26 played minutes Cataleni AFC got a freekick which was hit by Emilian Brădescu. FC Velos's Robert Frățilă couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 27th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Cataleni AFC. In the 31st minute, FC Velos's Aristide Drâmba ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Mugur Tudorică. Mugur Tudorică yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. Gelu Horațiu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mugur Tudorică having to interfere. Olimpiu Mihăilă's late challenge caught a FC Velos's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Olimpiu Mihăilă helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Cataleni AFC getting a freekick after 40 minutes play. Olimpiu Mihăilă hit a great ball. Mugur Tudorică made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gelu Horațiu in the 43rd minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 45th minute, Gelu Horațiu managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC Velos's supporters rose to their feet, but Gelu Horațiu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mugur Tudorică breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Mugur Tudorică showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gelu Horațiu in the 47th minute of the match. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

When FC Velos's Gelu Horațiu in the 55th minute got a chance for a shot 55th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Cataleni AFC's goalie prevented a goal. Gelu Horațiu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Mugur Tudorică tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Emil Vâtcu hit a great freekick 58 minutes into the match. FC Velos's Teodor Focșa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marcel Calboreanu in the 59th minute of play. After 61 minutes of play, Cataleni AFC's Lucrețiu Floricel made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Teodor Focșa was left in no man's land by his defense there! With a couple of smart ball manuevers Marcel Calboreanu in the 64th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Teodor Focșa saved FC Velos from getting behind. If Gelu Horațiu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of FC Velos booed when Cataleni AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mădălin Mustață didn't get a good kick on the ball. Lucian Răchitan charged in rather forcefully in the 72nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Lucian Răchitan the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 72nd minute, Lucian Răchitan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Matei Dumitru could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 75th minute of the match, but Teodor Focșa made a huge save. 77 minutes into the match, FC Velos's goal looked a bit too open when Marcel Calboreanu came free, but Teodor Focșa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Cataleni AFC's Marcel Calboreanu got a free kick in the 79th minute. FC Velos's Teodor Focșa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marcel Calboreanu in the 91st minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Lucrețiu Floricel got free with Teodor Focșa in the 96th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Chants of Cataleni AFC echoed around the stadium as the match drew to a close. Supporters and players were both delighted with the win, as FC Velos had held the ball for most of the match.
