Horea Marchidan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 4th minute. Codrin Zburlea tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Horea Marchidan could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 11th minute of the match, but Codrin Zburlea made a huge save. After a rather tough play, Colteni's Ivan Udrişte got a free kick in the 15th minute. In the 19th minute of the match Costel Muscă shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Nicu Dobre showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Emil Vrabie charged in rather forcefully in the 20th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Emil Vrabie the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Emil Vrabie hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. Nicu Dobre made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Costel Muscă in the 27th minute of play. 32 minutes into the match, Timisoara 1921's goal looked a bit too open when Horea Marchidan came free, but Codrin Zburlea reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 33 minutes into the game, Valentin Chiriță was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Timisoara 1921's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Colteni the free kick. Codrin Zburlea showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Horea Marchidan, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. Timisoara 1921's Codrin Zburlea played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Claudiu Codreanu in the 37th minute of play. Codrin Zburlea made a fantastic save in the 42nd minute, when Codruț Beșliu sent off a good shot on target. Codrin Zburlea was a little too slow when Codruț Beșliu got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 46th minute. The score was now 1-0. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Valentin Chiriță to make the kick off. A collision led to Colteni getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Costin Mazilu hit a great ball. Costel Muscă succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-1 in the 54th playminute. After 57 minutes, Dinu Dănciulescu mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Timisoara 1921 and the Colteni players grew even worse after the yellow card. Dinu Dănciulescu hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. Mădălin Talianu kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. 62 minutes into the match, Colteni's goal looked a bit too open when Dinu Dănciulescu came free, but Nicu Dobre reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ioan Davidescu made in the 64th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Timisoara 1921's Iulian Voiculescu. A sloppy throw-in by Bogdan Tăgorean in the 69th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Timisoara 1921's Stelian Iorga. In the 72nd minute, Horea Marchidan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Timisoara 1921's Codrin Zburlea played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Codruț Beșliu in the 74th minute of play. 78 minutes into the match, Timisoara 1921's goal looked a bit too open when Horea Marchidan came free, but Codrin Zburlea reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Codrin Zburlea showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Horea Marchidan, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
