Spectators: 35 (Terracing: 27, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Iustin Stoicea started the match with the kick off. Aurelian Barbăsură fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Albert Lucănescu having to interfere. In the 7th minute, Iustin Stoicea made a precise shot to the right of Albert Lucănescu. The Star of Football's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. In the 14th minute the ball was on its way in behind The Star of Football's goalkeeper Albert Lucănescu, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aurelian Barbăsură in the 17th minute of play forced The Star of Football's goalkeeper Albert Lucănescu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Iustin Stoicea received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Albert Lucănescu came out and tried to block the shot, but Iustin Stoicea slotted it home off the left post making it 2-0 in the 18th minute. Codruț Răchitan charged in rather forcefully in the 26th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Codruț Răchitan the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 26 played minutes The Star of Football got a freekick which was hit by Codruț Răchitan. 28 minutes into the match, Iustin Stoicea notched a goal, 3-0, to the right of The Star of Football's Albert Lucănescu. Albert Lucănescu was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 37th minute, The Star of Football's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Sandu Bacalbașa fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. A collision led to CF GRAND VALLE getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. Ştefan Aldea hit a great ball. After having played for 43 minutes, Nichifor Chinezu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. The Star of Football's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nichifor Chinezu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 45 minutes into the match, CF GRAND VALLE's goal looked a bit too open when Ernest Lesnea came free, but Cazimir Avramescu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ernest Lesnea to strike the kick off in the second half. 56 minutes into the game, Silviu Pășcuțoiu was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. The Star of Football's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave CF GRAND VALLE the free kick. After 56 played minutes The Star of Football got a freekick which was hit by Silviu Pășcuțoiu. With a little luck, CF GRAND VALLE's Cazimir Avramescu got control of the ball when Codruț Răchitan tried to sneak it across the goal line. 61 minutes into the match, CF GRAND VALLE's goal looked a bit too open when Ernest Lesnea came free, but Cazimir Avramescu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Albert Lucănescu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Iustin Stoicea, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of CF GRAND VALLE booed when The Star of Football was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Petruț Hidiș didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 69th minute Sandu Bacalbașa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Albert Lucănescu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 71 minutes into the match, Sandu Bacalbașa notched a goal, 5-0, to the right of The Star of Football's Albert Lucănescu. Albert Lucănescu was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After a rather tough play, The Star of Football's Codruț Răchitan got a free kick in the 73rd minute. When CF GRAND VALLE's Iustin Stoicea in the 75th minute got a chance for a shot 75th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. CF GRAND VALLE's Aurelian Barbăsură got a good chance for a goal in the 91st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 95th match minute, The Star of Football was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Călin Firea to maneuver through the defense. The Star of Football's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
