Spectators: 43 (Terracing: 33, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Silviu Latarețu got the match started through his kick off. When Alex Balotă fell near the penalty area in the 2nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored MIT Craiova's protests and gave Alex Balotă a yellow card for diving instead. It was a well-played corner which Iulian Nicorici managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. In the 6th minute, Mihăiţă Ilarie hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Tiberiu Caramarin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 10th minute Tiberiu Caramarin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Iacob Povară saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 11th minute, Sorin Cupșa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience thought a goal was coming when Iulian Nicorici got free with Calistrat Madgearu in the 13th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Tiberiu Caramarin took the ball and in the 14 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Iacob Povară. Iacob Povară dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. MIT Craiova's Calistrat Madgearu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Iosif Găman in the 21st minute of play. F.C CLUJ MEDICINA's Iacob Povară played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dorin Banu in the 23rd minute of play. Iacob Povară made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dorin Banu in the 25th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Luca Pancu in the 27th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Calistrat Madgearu prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpectedly hard shot by Iosif Găman in the 29th minute of play forced MIT Craiova's goalkeeper Calistrat Madgearu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Iacob Povară showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tiberiu Caramarin in the 34th minute of the match. In the 36th minute, F.C CLUJ MEDICINA's Iulian Nicorici dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-1. Luca Pancu kicked well hit freekick during the 41st minute of the match. The supporters of MIT Craiova booed when F.C CLUJ MEDICINA was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dan Petrescu didn't get a good kick on the ball. F.C CLUJ MEDICINA's Iacob Povară played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mihăiţă Ilarie in the 43rd minute of play. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Tiberiu Caramarin made the kick off in the second half. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Dorin Banu in the 50th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Iacob Povară prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 53rd minute of the match, Dorin Banu got a very nice opportunity to score, but Iacob Povară was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Iacob Povară made an important save on a dangerous shot by Dorin Banu in the 55th minute. MIT Craiova's Calistrat Madgearu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Iosif Găman in the 60th minute of play. In the 61st minute, MIT Craiova's Dorin Banu dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-2. 67 minutes into the game, Iulian Nicorici cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-2. In the 82nd match minute, MIT Craiova was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Florin Seremet to maneuver through the defense. Calistrat Madgearu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luca Pancu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 85 minutes MIT Craiova's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Alfonso Nastasio who took care of the corner kick. When Iulian Nicorici came up free with the goalie in the 89th minute, the F.C CLUJ MEDICINA fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Iulian Nicorici couldn't finish the play. In the 90th match minute, MIT Craiova was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nicodim Orășan to maneuver through the defense. Iacob Povară showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tiberiu Caramarin, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute. F.C CLUJ MEDICINA's Iacob Povară played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fabian Geantă in the 94th minute of play. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
