After some fancy dribbling in the 10th minute, Liudas Daunoras managed to get in a good position for a shot. Geguzine's supporters rose to their feet, but Liudas Daunoras was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. If Tomas Vasiliauskas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Stasys Tulčius during the 36th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. 39 minutes into the match, Poprudze's goal looked a bit too open when Tomas Vasiliauskas came free, but Artūras Daulys reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The Geguzine fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Kipras Inčiūra should have stopped the shot. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Tomas Vasiliauskas stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Artūras Daulys didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 53rd minute, which inside left pole to 1-1. If Liudas Daunoras had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 59th minute, Vydas Jarulis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 65th minute Almantas Rekašius shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kipras Inčiūra saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Poprudze's Nojus Gedrikas got a good chance for a goal in the 67th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when Liudas Daunoras got free with Artūras Daulys in the 71st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Tomas Vasiliauskas struck a weak shot in the 72nd minute. Artūras Daulys didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Geguzine. Geguzine were unable to convert their possession into goals, allowing Poprudze to leave the ground with a draw.
