Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Polvarkis's Juozas Tručinskas started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. When Juozas Tručinskas came up free with the goalie in the 7th minute, the Polvarkis fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Juozas Tručinskas couldn't finish the play. In the 13th minute, Ugnius Zybartas got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. A collision led to Polvarkis getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Daumantas Laurinaitis hit a great ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Polvarkis's Juozas Tručinskas slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Artūras Sirvydis. That made the score 1-0 after 22 minutes of play. Žydrūnas Grinius hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. Ugnius Zybartas scored 2-1 in the 31st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Raimundas Milkintas, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Modestas Gasparaitis might have been able to make a better finish in the 38th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Raimundas Milkintas. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Modestas Gasparaitis ran back to his position shaking his head. Artūras Sirvydis stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Juozas Tručinskas's shot from short distance in the 40th minute. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ugnius Zybartas stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Artūras Sirvydis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Juozas Tručinskas in the 52nd minute of play. Modestas Gasparaitis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Raimundas Milkintas having to interfere. 59 minutes into the match, Polvarkis's goal looked a bit too open when Ugnius Zybartas came free, but Raimundas Milkintas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 60th minute, UNITED's Modestas Gasparaitis ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Raimundas Milkintas. Raimundas Milkintas yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-2. If Modestas Gasparaitis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpected shot in the 67th minute by Ugnius Zybartas got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. After 75 played minutes Polvarkis got a freekick which was hit by Virginijus Mockevičius. Juozas Tručinskas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Artūras Sirvydis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the UNITED players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
