Arūnas Daugirdas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lauras Gaizauskas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 9th minute, Romualdas Baltuška fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Algis Uleckis, passed just outside the right post. Romualdas Baltuška sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpected shot in the 16th minute by Romualdas Baltuška got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Alanas Arlauskas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arūnas Daugirdas having to interfere. Arūnas Daugirdas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lauras Gaizauskas in the 19th minute of play. In the 21stth minute of the game Alanas Arlauskas who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Skirsnemunes's Arūnas Daugirdas was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Alanas Arlauskas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arūnas Daugirdas having to interfere. 1-0 became the score in the 27th minute when Romualdas Baltuška elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 31st minute, Romualdas Baltuška managed to get in a good position for a shot. Skirsnemunes's supporters rose to their feet, but Romualdas Baltuška was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Algis Uleckis breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tomas Šimkūnas in the 32nd minute of play forced Poshelaupe's goalkeeper Algis Uleckis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Romualdas Baltuška had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, Poshelaupe's Algis Uleckis got control of the ball when Romualdas Baltuška tried to sneak it across the goal line. Romualdas Baltuška could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 46th minute of the match, but Algis Uleckis made a huge save. When Tomas Šimkūnas came up free with the goalie in the 47th minute, the Skirsnemunes fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tomas Šimkūnas couldn't finish the play. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.
The wind increased when Tomas Šimkūnas made the kick off in the second half. Alanas Arlauskas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Skirsnemunes getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Tomas Tarailis hit a great ball. Romualdas Baltuška recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 59th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Romualdas Baltuška fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Algis Uleckis having to interfere. Arūnas Daugirdas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alanas Arlauskas in the 68th minute of the match. Poshelaupe's Lauras Gaizauskas got a good chance for a goal in the 75th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Romualdas Baltuška received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Algis Uleckis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 85 played minutes Skirsnemunes got a freekick which was hit by Audrius Čiapas. After recieving a nice pass, Poshelaupe's Andrius Paknys tried to score from far away in the 86th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Arūnas Daugirdas made an important save on a dangerous shot by Lauras Gaizauskas in the 87th minute. If Romualdas Baltuška had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When the referee ended the match the Skirsnemunes players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
