Regimantas Bučinskas might have been able to make a better finish in the 11th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Augustinas Diliūnas. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Regimantas Bučinskas ran back to his position shaking his head. Girkantas Komskis struck a weak shot in the 11th minute. Augustinas Diliūnas didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Champions of Lithuania. In the 15th match minute, Rubinai was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Haroldas Karbauskas to maneuver through the defense. 19 minutes into the match, Champions of Lithuania's goal looked a bit too open when Romualdas Zybartas came free, but Vaclovas Mikšys reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Champions of Lithuania's Algimantas Damaševicius got a free kick in the 19th minute. Eidvilas Dabriška charged in rather forcefully in the 21st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Eidvilas Dabriška the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Champions of Lithuania's Eidvilas Dabriška got a free kick in the 21st minute. After recieving a nice pass, Rubinai's Dovydas Kilčiauskas tried to score from far away in the 22nd minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. 24 minutes into the match, Champions of Lithuania's goal looked a bit too open when Algitas Baltrūnas came free, but Vaclovas Mikšys reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 25 minutes into the match, Champions of Lithuania's goal looked a bit too open when Romualdas Zybartas came free, but Vaclovas Mikšys reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Girkantas Komskis came up free with the goalie in the 27th minute, the Champions of Lithuania fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Girkantas Komskis couldn't finish the play. Algitas Baltrūnas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Vaclovas Mikšys tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Rubinai's Augustinas Diliūnas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Girkantas Komskis in the 33rd minute of play. A collision led to Rubinai getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Haroldas Karbauskas hit a great ball. In the 38th match minute, Rubinai was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Drąsutis Apukas to maneuver through the defense. Laimonas Tarvydas kicked well hit freekick during the 41st minute of the match. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Regimantas Bučinskas to strike the kick off in the second half. After some fancy dribbling in the 54th minute, Haroldas Karbauskas managed to get in a good position for a shot. Rubinai's supporters rose to their feet, but Haroldas Karbauskas was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Vaclovas Mikšys breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 61 played minutes Champions of Lithuania got a freekick which was hit by Laimonas Tarvydas. 63 minutes in the game Jarūnas Ubartas got a great opportunity which he missed by shooting outside the goal. Augustinas Diliūnas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Regimantas Bučinskas, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 72nd minute, Regimantas Bučinskas managed to get in a good position for a shot. Champions of Lithuania's supporters rose to their feet, but Regimantas Bučinskas was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Augustinas Diliūnas breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Vaclovas Mikšys showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Algitas Baltrūnas, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. After having played for 77 minutes, Algitas Baltrūnas managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Rubinai's supporters crossed their fingers, but Algitas Baltrūnas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 82 minutes of play, Champions of Lithuania's Girkantas Komskis made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Augustinas Diliūnas was left in no man's land by his defense there! An unexpectedly hard shot by Regimantas Bučinskas in the 86th minute of play forced Rubinai's goalkeeper Augustinas Diliūnas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the referee ended the match the Champions of Lithuania players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
