John Bilali received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 6th minute. Dennis Koech tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Pius Ogot kicked well hit freekick during the 8th minute of the match. Kiran Father received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Samson Kobia tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 17th minute Omar Awino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Samson Kobia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 19th minute, Mike Mwencha got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. McDonald Koskei kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. When John Bilali came up free with the goalie in the 25th minute, the Liverpool fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that John Bilali couldn't finish the play. After some fancy dribbling in the 26th minute, Mike Mwencha managed to get in a good position for a shot. Arsenal's supporters rose to their feet, but Mike Mwencha was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Samson Kobia breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a rather tough play, Arsenal's Pius Ogot got a free kick in the 33rd minute. 35 minutes into the game, Pius Ogot was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Arsenal's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Liverpool the free kick. In the 35th minute, Pius Ogot hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 37th minute, John Bilali got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Dennis Koech took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from John Lagat, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Dennis Koech showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from John Lagat, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. In the 40th minute, John Lagat left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Liverpool fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when John Bilali stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Omar Awino recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 51st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Dennis Koech took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from John Bilali, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Liverpool booed when Arsenal was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pius Ogot didn't get a good kick on the ball. 84 minutes into the match, Liverpool's goal looked a bit too open when Mike Mwencha came free, but Samson Kobia reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Omar Awino struck a weak shot in the 89th minute. Samson Kobia didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Arsenal. After 91 played minutes Liverpool got a freekick which was hit by John Kiplagat. 92 minutes into the match, Arsenal's Lawo Kalekye broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. 94 minutes into the game, Christopher Waheto was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Liverpool's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Arsenal the free kick. After 94 played minutes Liverpool got a freekick which was hit by Christopher Waheto. The Liverpool players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
