Maurice Masai showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joe Murunga in the 3rd minute of the match. tusker fc's Cyrus Wamalwa proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 6th minute of the match, managed to save tusker fc from getting a goal against them. After a rather tough play, Accrington's Francis Odinga got a free kick in the 9th minute. After 12 played minutes tusker fc got a freekick which was hit by Titus Kiprop Kirui. In the 15th of the match, John Ocholla tried to place the ball in the upper right corner, but Cyrus Wamalwa got in the way and made a wonderful save. After 19 minutes, Sammy Waheto made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. Accrington's Maurice Masai tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. After a defensive mix-up in Accrington's zone, Sammy Waheto stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Maurice Masai came out of the goal and Sammy Waheto tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After having played for 45 minutes, Sammy Waheto managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. tusker fc's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sammy Waheto was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.
Michael Osoro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cyrus Wamalwa having to interfere. With his leg Maurice Masai managed to avoid a goal in the 71stth minute, when tusker fc's Sammy Waheto fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 74th minute, John Ocholla got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Louis Githongo hit a great freekick 77 minutes into the match. The audience was convinced that Joe Murunga's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Maurice Masai was relentless in the 84th minute of the game. After a rather tough play, Accrington's Francis Odinga got a free kick in the 85th minute. Joe Murunga struck a weak shot in the 87th minute. Maurice Masai didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for tusker fc.
