Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Robert Kosgei made the kick off and thus started the match. 3 minutes into the match, Blackheath's goal looked a bit too open when Evans Loroupe came free, but Yobes Wambua reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 4th minute of the match Rotherham got a corner. Blackheath's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Paul Kitur ran over to the corner to take the kick. At last the ball reached Evans Loroupe at the corner, ending with a kick to difficult to stop for the goalkeeper of Blackheath. 0-1. If Robert Kosgei had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 7th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 10 minutes into the match, Rotherham's goal looked a bit too open when Robert Kosgei came free, but Musa Muhoho reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Blackheath's Paul Griffin got a free kick in the 13th minute. Francis Waroo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Yobes Wambua tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Benjamin Kiprop charged in rather forcefully in the 20th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Benjamin Kiprop the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Rotherham booed when Blackheath was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Benjamin Kiprop didn't get a good kick on the ball. Robert Kosgei sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Mwai Emilio Odinga's late challenge caught a Rotherham's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Mwai Emilio Odinga helped the player get up and apologised. Mwai Emilio Odinga hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. In the 32nd minute of the match Paul Kitur shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Yobes Wambua showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. If Robert Kosgei had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Rotherham's Evans Loroupe in the 38th minute got a chance for a shot 38th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Blackheath's goalie prevented a goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Francis Waroo in the 41st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Yobes Wambua prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Francis Waroo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Yobes Wambua having to interfere. If Evans Loroupe had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Evans Loroupe stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. John Sarun kicked well hit freekick during the 51st minute of the match. Francis Waroo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 53rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Francis Waroo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Yobes Wambua having to interfere. In the 61st match minute, Rotherham was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Oburu Damji Pattni to maneuver through the defense. 62 minutes into the match, Rotherham's goal looked a bit too open when Cyrus Israel came free, but Musa Muhoho reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Blackheath's Benjamin Kiprop got a free kick in the 63rd minute. Musa Muhoho took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cyrus Israel, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some careless play in the Blackheath defense, Francis Waroo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Yobes Wambua. The Blackheath fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Yobes Wambua should have stopped the shot. Musa Muhoho came out of the goal in the 85th minute to try and stop a shot by Blackheath's Robert Kosgei. But to his dismay, Robert Kosgei quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2. If Cyrus Israel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Musa Muhoho stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Cyrus Israel's shot from short distance in the 90th minute. Francis Waroo succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 2-3 in the 95th playminute. The Rotherham supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Rotherham would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
