Spectators: 43 (Terracing: 33, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Kipchoge Oloo started the match with the kick off. 17 minutes into the match, Nairobi Soccer Stars's goal looked a bit too open when Kipchoge Oloo came free, but Josephat Githongo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 20 minutes into the game, Nairobi Soccer Stars's Malcolm Manyim nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Hezekiah Java made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. The supporters of Nairobi Soccer Stars booed when Settle was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Moses Wainaina didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 24th match minute, Settle was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gabriel Mulama to maneuver through the defense. Felix Kenyatta fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Josephat Githongo having to interfere. Felix Kenyatta could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 31st minute of the match, but Josephat Githongo made a huge save. Josephat Githongo didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 34th minute, which inside left pole to 1-1. The supporters of Nairobi Soccer Stars booed when Settle was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Moses Wainaina didn't get a good kick on the ball. 44 minutes into the game, John Lagat was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Nairobi Soccer Stars's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Settle the free kick. John Lagat hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. Malcolm Manyim sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Malcolm Manyim to make the kick off. In the 51st match minute, Settle was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Philip Oundo to maneuver through the defense. 53 minutes into the match, Settle's goalkeeper Hezekiah Java had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Malcolm Manyim. Malcolm Manyim received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Hezekiah Java tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 59 minutes into the match, Curtis Mwaura dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Hezekiah Java, 1-2. Nairobi Soccer Stars's Curtis Mwaura got a good chance for a goal in the 61st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Settle's Hezekiah Java proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 63rd minute of the match, managed to save Settle from getting a goal against them. Josephat Githongo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gabriel Mulama in the 71st minute of the match. Kipchoge Oloo scored 2-2 in the 72nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Josephat Githongo, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. A collision led to Settle getting a freekick after 76 minutes play. Philip Oundo hit a great ball. Josephat Githongo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kipchoge Oloo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Curtis Mwaura had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Hezekiah Java came out of the goal in the 81st minute to try and stop a shot by Nairobi Soccer Stars's Malcolm Manyim. But to his dismay, Malcolm Manyim quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-3. Josephat Githongo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Felix Kenyatta in the 89th minute of the match. If Kipchoge Oloo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Kipchoge Oloo in the 95th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Josephat Githongo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Josephat Githongo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kipchoge Oloo in the 96th minute of play. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
