When Babbis Barbetakis fell near the penalty area in the 4th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Dodoni FC's protests and gave Babbis Barbetakis a yellow card for diving instead. After 4 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Dodoni FC! If Theocharis Nestorakoglou had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Through an outstanding action, after 12 minutes, Zacharias Borbokis successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Lazaros Avgerinos charged in rather forcefully in the 14th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Lazaros Avgerinos the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 15th minute, Thanos Natsouras got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Lazaros Kourabies in the 16th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Petros Dimitropoulos prevented the ball from getting in the gole. A collision led to Dodoni FC getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Thomas Itoudis hit a great ball. Petros Dimitropoulos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Simos Velatos in the 24th minute of the match. In the 28th minute Thanos Natsouras shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Petros Dimitropoulos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 30th minute of the match, Giannis Stathis got a very nice opportunity to score, but Zacharias Borbokis was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. With an all-out effort, Dodoni FC's Zacharias Borbokis threw himself towards the right post 31 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Lazaros Avgerinos, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Lazaros Kourabies in the 47th minute a chance for a shot on goal. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Lazaros Kourabies was the one to do the kick off. When Simos Velatos came up free with the goalie in the 53rd minute, the Ómbar fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Simos Velatos couldn't finish the play. Lazaros Kourabies who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 55thth minute tested the skills of Petros Dimitropoulos when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Ómbar's Lazaros Kourabies was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 55th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. Theocharis Nestorakoglou sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 65th minute, Ómbar's Theocharis Nestorakoglou ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Petros Dimitropoulos. Petros Dimitropoulos yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-3. In the 68th match minute, Ómbar was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marinos Makas to maneuver through the defense. Dodoni FC's Petros Dimitropoulos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Thanos Natsouras in the 73rd minute of play. After 74 minutes, Panagiotis Vogiatzakis mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Dodoni FC and the Ómbar players grew even worse after the yellow card.
